Collections 757 1 & 2 mainly contain collections on Jewish history in written and oral tradition, files and records on the Jewish cemetery and newspaper clippings, as follows: Box 757/1 Folder 1: 1784/1993: Jewish cemeteries and tombs.
Folder 2: 1784/2004: Jews in Grabow, collection of oral tradition, history; period of national socialism; collection of copies and information material, city history of Grabow.
Folder 3: 1784/1995: various material on synagogues, “stumbling stones” (Stolpersteine), buildings in Grabow and surrounding area: brochure, newspaper clippings, photocopies of pictures.
Folder 4: 1930/1931: individual Jews (in detail), newspaper clippings.
Folder 5: material on Jews in Grabow. Folder with inquiries and information; Box 757/2: 1. directory of the residents of Jewish religion now living in the city of Grabow and becoming residents in the future, with their children, dated 22 February 1813. 2. documents concerning the keeping of the church register for the Jewish congregation, advertisements and certificates no. 1 to 155 issued in connection therewith.
- Archival history:
- In 1951 an administrative archive was established and the city archive in 1955. In 2005 the country and city of Grabow merged to form the Grabow office. The historical archive is located in the town hall. The archive looks after the historical files of the city and the Grabow office. The archive's holdings are currently recorded digitally; changes are possible. Supplementary sources include civil status and building files.
