- Scope and content:
- The files of the trade inspectorate document the tasks of the middle authority vis-à-vis the trade supervisory offices. This includes the annual reports of the lower authority, including those of the Labor Inspectorate in Emden. During the era of National Socialism, there was a government and trade council for the supervisory district of Osnabrück-Aurich. The responsibility therefore also extended to East Friesland. The files also document the tasks of occupational safety and health, which included regulation of working hours. Also interesting are the documents for environmental protection and monument protection. The collection contains records of department 301 (business, price matters) and 307 (Trade inspectorate), including post-war (after 1945) government incentives. Of special relevance are: Acc. 12/54 No. 88 Applications and complaints in trade and industry, 1932-1943; Acc. 12/43 No. 20 Granting of permission to hire apprentices, 1912-1924; Acc. 12/54 No. 87 Various Jews dismissed from civil service. Judge Dr. Cohen (Osnabrück), 1936; Acc. 15A / 65 No. 9 Vol. 2 chamber of commerce (miscellaneous), 1932-1934.
