- This collection comprises records of the village of Hagenburg. The following items are relevant to Jewish history: No. 133 List of persons resident in the Hagenburg area: address, occupation, age and residents 1932; No. 648 Jewish affairs in Hagenburg, 1919-1940; No. 233 Letter of protection for Meyer Moses from Diepenau by Elector Georg Ludwig of Hannover in 1702; No. 622 Granting of support, family maintenance and pensions, including Jews, 1931-1935; No. 594 Request of the mayor of Hagenburg to the Princely Government of Bückeburg for the sale of Sandkuhle and differences with Jonas Moses in 1831.
- Archival history:
- The files of the collection Hagenburg (with Altenhagen), which had been kept for a long time in the local elementary school, were handed over to the State Archives in 1966. The signature was first L 104, but later correctly changed to Dep. 15.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Hagenburg is located outside of the castle of the same name, which was named in 1555. In 1970, the neighbouring village of Altenhagen was united with Hagenburg. Since 1974 Hagenburg belongs to the conglomerated municipality of Sachsenhagen.
