- This collection comprises records of the district court with all aspects of the lower jurisdiction from 1879. The following items are relevant to Jewish history: Commercial Register of the Bückeburg District Court and information on Jewish Companies 1893/1938, Dispute between several persons, rent payment and eviction of the building at Bahnhofstrasse 33 (former synagogue) in Bückeburg from 1957 to 1958; Commercial Register of the Cereal Trade and Products Business; Tax directories of the chief court enforcement officer on the property of Jewish emigrants in 1939; issuing of certificates of inheritance 1892/1920; Register of Associations regarding the Jewish Cemetery Association in Frille 1922/1951; Sale of houses and properties in Bückeburg to Jews 1880/1895; Testament deposits of Jews 1876/1899; Declarations of death of various missing and deceased Jews 1947/1957; sale of various houses in Bückeburg 1884/1900.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- On 1 October 1879 the regional court of Bückeburg and two district courts with seats in Bückeburg and Stadthagen were created. The functions of the district courts were defined as follows: guardianship and curatorial matters, succession, deposit matters, acceptance and recognition of contracts conferring ownership of land, contracts for marital property relations, certification of contracts and other unilateral declarations, management of mortgage registers, taking out and confirming bonds and pledges, taking on protests of bills, keeping trade, cooperative and design registers. In civil litigation and criminal cases, the district courts replaced the previous administrative districts, from the department of justice, they took over the function of a court of first instance for the formerly exempt court subjects.
