- This collection comprises handwritten copies of important documents and manuscripts relating to Schaumburg as well as some originals. The following items are relevant to Jewish history: B No. 105 Capaun collection of Schaumburg-Lippe documents: Resolution of Count Philipp zu Schaumburg-Lippe on the Gravamina brought in 1666 by the mayor and council at Stadthagen against the Jews there; No. 175 Capaun collection of Schaumburg-Lippe documents: Confirmation of existing Jewish writs of protection by Count Friedrich Christian zu Schaumburg-Lippe, 1684.
- Archival history:
- In 1803, the Schaumburg-Lippe government secretary, councillor of the chancellery and archivist Johann Wilhelm Capaun made copies of important Schaumburg documents and files in order to avoid the tedious search for documents in the archives; this collection of copies may contain several originals. The collection consists of 17 volumes, which begin with a subject index prepared by Capaun himself. In addition, Capaun authored a two-volume, chronicle-like "History of the Real Regents of the County of Schaumburg"; the accessions are in five volumes. Capaun handed over the collection to the state government for use.
