- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Kammerkasse [chamber treasury] administered the financial affairs of the court. In 1813, the treasury was separated: the chamber treasury was now responsible for the regalia and the Domanium, the state tax office for taxes and duties. The separation was revoked again in 1817, before the revolution of 1848 and the constitutional law of 1868 led to the separation of state treasury and privy purse. In 1875 the cabinet treasury was formed as a department of the court chamber. The excesses of the privy purse were deposited there, which were invested in securities. However, the separation between the state financial economy and the princely private sector could not be realised successfully until 1918. This was reserved for the ensuing negotiations, which resulted in the law of 8 May 1920.
