- The parish registers contain registrations of births, marriages and deaths, No. E 276: Register of the Israelites in Braunschweig, alphabetical list of the members of the Jewish community with their birth years, births, marriages and deaths, immigration and emigration of the Jewish community (1812-1868), No. 278: burial book of the Jewish cemetery (Hamburger Strasse) in Braunschweig (1797-1878) (copy).
- Archival history:
- The collection contains original parish registers of the Lutheran city churches, the Reformed and Catholic communities, the Jewish community and some rural communities. They are supplemented by the so-called copy parish registers, which are usually transcripts of church records and name registers. The originals are kept in the Lower Saxony State Archives, Wolfenbüttel department, and in the regional church archive of the Braunschweig state church (Landeskirche) in Wolfenbüttel.
