- The collection consists of records of the city administration as well as the individual parishes and ecclesiastical institutions which handed over documents such as copy books, inventories, personnel matters, church services, log books and trial records. Some of the documents concern Jews and their relationship to Christians, such as 1 Parish Church of St. Martini No. 105: Administration in general (including the provincial governor Rescript concerning the sponsorship of preachers in Jewish baptisms (1774)), 2 parish church of St. Michaelis No. 16: baptism of Jews (1831-1881), 5 parish church St. Andreas No. 38: Church records (including excerpts of foreign church books, recognition of illegitimate children, victims and suicides, baptised Jews) (1801-1805), 7 Parish Church of St. Ulrici No. 59: Regulations, Circular rescripts, jura stolae [surplice fee] (among others, Jews and members of the Protestant Reformed Church 1724-1878).
