- Administrative/biographical history:
- After the independence of the city in 1671, a uniform and permanently acting council was created, which was entirely dependent on the princely administration. Its responsibilities included primarily general administrative tasks and lower jurisdiction. The files of the collection document the activity of the council body. During the French occupation, there was a temporary separation of administration and jurisdiction.
