- The files are divided in 16 groups concerning the relationship between them and the administration in the city. Several files concern Jews, such as No. 1: 20: Jews: citizens and non-citizens (fifteenth century), No. 1: 30: Buildings: Judenhäuser (Jews' houses) and Gerkammer (vestry) (1409), No. 5: 31: The citizen and goldsmith Heinrich Vorrath from Wels in Austria against the Jews Salomon in Hildesheim in a case about jewellery (1590-1594), No. 10a: 1: The Jews, especially the Jews in Melverode (1590/1594), No. 10a: 2: termination of the right of cohabitation of Jews in Braunschweig (1546), No. 10a: 3: Trade relations between Halberstadt and Hamburg Jews in Braunschweig (1659/1667), No. 10a: 4: Albrecht Gugel in Hannover against the Jews Moshe Stendel von Derneburg and Carpel Jude from Prague in Braunschweig for counterfeiting and other offences (1574 ), No. 10a: 5: The occupation and delivery of some Jews in Braunschweig, particularly the admission of the Jewish Rabbi Samuel to the city of Braunschweig through the mediation of the preacher Urbanus Regius in Celle (1540), Nr. 10a: 6: Johan tom Hove in the Electorate of Brandenburg against the Jew Lasarus and various citizens in Braunschweig. - In the years between 1935 and 1943, Werner Spieß rebuilt the collection from a larger, unidentified collection under the name "Supplemente" as well as from a series of other files originally assigned to collection B III. It is to be used as a parallel supplement to B III.
