- Scope and content:
- The collection comprises documents concerning the church St. Katharinen as well as different matters regarding the church such as foundations and annuity certificates. It includes No. 33a: The High Council and the Council of Bremen authorise the writer and deacon John to collect an indulgence to the benefit of 26 Jews who had converted to the Christian faith and who had given the church ample property for pious foundations, but were now in need (1423).

- The document collection, originally more extensive, is fragmentary, especially for the period between 1458 and 1524.

- The church of St. Katharinen, which was built around 1200, was the parish church of Hagen. The community had the right to elect the pastor while the Guelphs had the right of investiture.
