- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Organisation of National Accounting (Nemzeti Számonkérés Szervezete), also known as National Accounting Detachment (Nemzeti Számonkérő Különítmény), National Accounting Organisation (Nemzeti Számonkérő Szervezet) was an elite formation recruited from gendarme officers established right after the Arrow Cross takeover in October 1944. Its main task was to investigate and neutralise all enemies of the Arrow Cross regime. The members of the units tortured and executed hundreds of Jews, left-wingers, deserters and other “enemies of the regime” in Budapest and in Western Hungary.
