- The collection holds the business log (üzleti könyv) of tradesman Dávid Bleuer in one single document from 1857-1858. The volume contains details of business transactions and partners, income and expenses and other financial data. His partners mostly included farmers and other businessmen in Kiskunlacháza, a small town in central Hungary, and its vicinity. The business log provides some insight into the economic activities of Jewish businessmen in the early period of Jewish communities in the Kiskunság region.
- Archival history:
- The records of Dávid Bleuer were probably taken over in the 1950s by the Pest County Archives. The volume was found in the records of the Kiskunlacháza People’s Bank Collective (Kiskunlacházai Népbank Szövetkezet) of 1857-1879 (XI. 392), and placed in a separate fond in the 1960s. The collection went missing in 1972 and its present location in the archives is unknown.
