- Archival history:
- The majority of the records of the Debrecen Jewish schools were destroyed right after the ghettoisation and the deportation of the community members in 1944. Based on the regulations of Decree 1022-38/1951 of the Minister of Education (modified by Decree 114-0820/1952 of the Minister of Education), school records that were classified as being of historical value were taken to the archives in the 1950s and the early 1960s. The collection was arranged into the present record group in 1982.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Gödöllő Israelite Community established its one-class (egy tantermes) public elementary school in the 1850s. The new building of the school was erected in 1894. In the late 1930s, approximately twenty pupils attended the school.
