- The records in the fonds cover the period from 1933 until 1961. They relate to the craftsmanship and craftsmen who lived and worked in the territory of Pančevo, including Jewish craftsmen. The collection provides details of the activities of the Association, annual meetings, internal organisation, on master exams, students contracts for apprenticeship, trading permits, registration of stores and their deregistration, lists of masters and assistants, workbooks, requests for payment of membership fees, personnel documentation of the employees, excerpts from registry books and students notifications, etc.
- Archival history:
- The fonds was singled out from the archival fonds No. 50 County Chambers of Crafts, which was transferred to the Historical Archives of Pančevo in 1963 and 1965. The collection was arranged in 1971.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Law on Stores, adopted on 5 November 1931, regulated the assembly of craftsmen in associations. In line with the Law, in 1932 the Association of Craftsmen was founded which covered the territory of the City and the County of Pančevo, which reported directly to the Administration of the City of Belgrade i.e. to the Chambers of Crafts in Belgrade. In 1938, the Association had 1163 members, 364 employees and 491 students apprentices, who took their assistant exams at the Association. The candidates had to complete the vocational school or course. They often worked for craftsmen who were members of the Association. Professional courses were also held within the Association. The associations kept registers of their members, of the employed assistants and students, collected membership fees, issued loans, kept labourers' books, apprenticeship contracts, etc.
