Scope and content:: The documents created by the royal public notary Dr Kiralj Karolj include data relating to Jews who lived in Senta. The administrative books which include entries related to the Jewish population are: No. 1 - Alphabetical Register of Names to the Record-keeping Protocol, 1941/1944, 14 files; No. 2 – Book of Evidence of Inheritance files, 1942/1944, 25 files; No. 3 – Book of Testament Announcements, 1942/1944, 1 file; No. 5 – Book of Deposits of Inheritance cases, 1942/1944, 2 files.

Archival history:: The unarranged and incomplete records were transferred to the Archives in 1974, as recorded in the minutes No.05-89/12.

Administrative/biographical history:: Dr Karolj Kiralj [Károly Király] was born in Baja in 1886. He completed his education in Kaloča and Budapest. In 1913 he opened his law office in Ada. By the Decree of the Military Command of the City of Senta he was appointed as a Royal Public Notary. He carried out this office from 1 June 1941 to 4 October 1944, when he left Senta and moved to Hungary.
