- Administrative/biographical history:
-
The Hungarian system of administration was established in Bačka from mid-April 1941 and the Tax Administration System began to develop. The Government Regulation No. 5440 M.E. of 16 August 1941 abolished the military administration and by Regulation 6080 M.E. of 1941 the tax system was established. In the Bačka-Bodrog District 11 counties were founded, with the same number of tax administration seats. The Senta District comprised the larger settlements of Senta, Mađarska Kanjiža, Ada and Mol with the associated villages.
The Hungarian Royal Tax Administration, as the first level tax administration, executed the collection of the state fees and taxes regarding the agreements and legacy files. It was also obliged to compile evidence of the tax debtors from the period of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, to compile books of tax debtors for each settlement in the southern areas, as well as collecting taxes which were overdue from the previous regime. The Hungarian Royal Tax Administration Senta ceased to exist on 8 October 1944.
