- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Association of Craftsmen in Jaša Tomić was founded on 2 January 1894 under the name the Modoš Crafts Association, based on the Hungarian Law on Crafts dated 1884. The wholesale craftsmen were obliged to join a craft association. The tasks of the association were to maintain order among the craftsmen, to represent their interests and to encourage the craftsmen's authority to progress. After the First World War, the municipality of Jaša Tomić became part of Romania, so the Association continued to work under the supervision of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Timisoara until 1923, when the municipality was annexed to the Kingdom of Serbs Croats and Slovenes, where it was renamed Craftsmen Corporation in Modoš. In 1924 it changed its name to the Association of Traders, Industrialists and Craftsmen in Modoš. In 1932 the name was changed to the Association of Craftsmen for the County of Jaša Tomić. A branch was opened in Srpska Crnja,. which operated briefly until 22 December 1932, when it was abolished on the basis of the decision of the Chamber of Crafts in Belgrade, and the Association of Craftsmen in Srpska Crnja was founded. The Association for the City and County of Jaša Tomić worked until August 1950, at which point the Law on Crafts abolished all craft associations and the county craft chambers were established instead.
