- Archival history:
- The records in this collection were transferred by the People's Committee of Bela Crkva on several occasions in 1957, 1964 and 1965. No further details have been preserved.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- After the occupation of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the administrative-territorial division of Vojvodina, i.e. the former Danube Banovina, changed. In April 1941, the Regional Command, which was formed in Petrovgrad, took over the entire military administration in Banat and was in charge of overall civilian bodies. Five cities and eleven district administrations in Banat were directly subordinated to the Command. The names of the places were successively Germanised until 1943, as well as the names of the authorities. The Bela Crkva City Administration had the following organisational units: Department of General Affairs, Administrative Department, Department of Agriculture, Records Department, Civil Engineering Department, Department of Social Policy and Public Health, Financial Department with Tax Unit and Treasury, Department of Excise Duties, Department Of Labour, Food Procurement Department, Orphan Aid Department, Cadastre, Police Unit and the Jewish Department (since the beginning of 1942). The creator of the fonds ceased to exist on 1 October 1944, when the German Army withdrew from the occupied territory.
- System of arrangement:
- The collection was arranged according to the principle of provenance, and within the units chronologically and by registry numbers. A part of the collection was arranged according to specific themes. The unit related to the Orphans Aid Department was found later and was unarranged.
