- The Library fonds of the Historical Archives of Belgrade was created by purchases, donations and exchange with other institutions. It continues to be added to.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Library of the Historical Archives of Belgrade was opened for researchers in 1949. It was created according to the purchasing policy in place, by exchange with other institutions, by donations from the authors and by donating the legacies to the library at the Archives. The Library has a significant place in the everyday activities of the Archives. It comprises the published archival material from Serbia and from foreign archives, finding aids from various archives, publications related to national, regional and local history, various historical editions, statistical publications, guides, periodicals, monographs, anniversary editions, memorial and bibliographic editions. In addition, the Library holdings include printed laws and regulations, statutes and reports of various organisations, address books, touristic publications, exhibition catalogues and similar printed material.
