- This fonds contains different kind of documents and various objects: wooden models, a pair of 16th century glasses found among notarial acts, and so on. Two items in the collection are important for Jewish history. The first (no. 45/1) is a 19th century aquatint representing the Scuola grande israelitica (Great Jewish Synagogue) in Mantua. The second (no. 143/ter) is a collection of seven parchment fragments written in Hebrew, part of a liturgical Ashkenazi manuscript from the14th century with sections of the “Tefillat Geshem” (the rain prayer) by Eleazar Biribbi Kalir, reused as reinforcement of the cardboard edges of a Christian collection of notarial acts.

The "Cimeli" is a collection of various materials which originated from a group of objects moved from their proper location in order to create a Museum at the State Archive of Mantua. The Museum was never created and the objects weren't properly relocated. New pieces were later added to this collection.
The collection still receives accruals, especially of non-document materials that are occasionally found among the papers collections from which they are moved to this collection for better preservation.
