- This fonds contains autographs of famous historical figures, mainly removed from the Gonzaga archive and from other fonds of the State Archive of Mantua. In folder no. 9 there are some letters of the Italian Jewish patriot Giuseppe Finzi, related to the campaign named “One million rifles”, launched by general Giuseppe Garibaldi in 1859 to raise money to buy arms for his military actions (1859-1861). In folder no. 10 there is a letter of the Jewish physician Abramo to the marquis of Mantua (22 November 1523).

The "Autografi" is a collection of documents, originally located into the Archivio Gonzaga. They were removed from their proper location in the late 19th and early 20th century; later they were gathered in a new collection named "Autografi". Further documents, taken from archival fonds of the Austrian, French and post-unification periods were added afterward. The documents that make up this collection have not been properly relocated because they were repeatedly quoted with the current reference number.
