- This fonds contains documents of the Mantua Chamber of Commerce and of the ancient guilds. Folder no. 30 is relevant to Jewish interest, as it contains a file entitled “Università degli Ebrei” (Jewish Community) with a plea from the Jewish Community not to be taxed in the same way as the Christian merchants (1720-1740). Lists of merchants and professionals, including Jewish names, can be found throughout the fonds; see for example folder no. 136 (1786-1792).

At its establishment the Camera di Commercio acquired the archives of medieval artisan guilds and the mercantile chamber which had been deposited at the State Archive of Mantua in 1914.Some of the documentation created by the Camera di Commercio during the 20th century has been afterward deposited at the State Archive of Mantua.
