- This fonds contains acts related to the activity of the Provincial Metric Bureau of Mantua. Folder no. 24 contains a file including the circular letter, dated 28 July 1997, of the Interior Minister with the indication of Jewish festivities for the year 1998, as provided by the law no. 101 (8 March 1989), following the Agreement between the Italian Government and the Union of the Italian Jewish Communities, signed on 27 February 1987, granting the Jews, among other things, the right to celebrate Jewish festivities and to rest on Shabbat (articles no. 4 and 5).

The Ufficio metrico carries out tasks of control, verification and surveillance in the field of legal metrology and precious metals by following national and EU legislation aimed at achieving consumer protection and market transparency. The Office of Legal Metrology or Metric Office has been based at the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Handicraft and Agriculture of Mantua since January 2000, while it formerly operated at the Metric Provincial Office of Mantua.
