- The fonds contains documents concerning civil suits held in the “Jewish Academy”, i.e. the internal Court (Bet Din) of the Jewish Community of Mantua, as it was named under Napoleonic dominion. The manuscript index of the fonds is preceded by an alphabetical index of the names of all the Jews from Mantua involved in the lawsuits - concerning only Jews or Jewish companies.
