- The collection contains documents of various Latvian Jewish political and social organisations: Kuldiga City Jewish Primary School, Riga City Jewish Gymnasium, Daugavpils City Jewish Evening Gymnasium, Saldus Jewish Cultural Society, the Jewish People’s House, Keren Kayemet le-Israel organisation, Agudas Yisroel Party, Tseirey Zion Party, Zionist Socialist Party, Mizrahi Party, Betar organisation, Hasmonea student organisation, B Borokhov working youth society, Hashomer Hatzair youth society, Herzlia youth society, student corporation Vetulia, student society Anatolica, Keren Hayesod, society of demobilised Jewish soldiers, Riga Jewish tennis club Ritek, society Bar Kochba and others. These are posters, leaflets, extracts, books, letters, protocols, brochures, calendars, postcards, newspaper clippings, photographs, periodicals, membership cards, certificates, statutes, and lists of political candidates for the election to the Latvian Saeima. For example, the poster of the Kuldiga Сity Jewish Primary School of 19 December 1925 (in Latvian and German) invites guests to a school fete, with the program including musical performances, theatrical performances, ballet, gymnasts and dancing until 4 am. These documents are of interest to researchers of the history of Jewish political and social organisations and of the public life of the Jewish community in Latvia.

- In 1919, Jews, like other national minorities, received cultural autonomy in Latvia. In the 1928-29 school year, more than 10,300 children enrolled in 85 Jewish primary schools and 599 teachers were employed. Zionist, youth and sports organisations of various party affiliations were active - Betar, Hashomer Hatzair, Vetulia, Hasmonea, Herzlia and others. Jewish political parties like Mizrahi, Tseirey Zion and Agudas Yisroel had their representatives in the Latvian Saeima. After the coup d'état in May 1934 ended democracy in Latvia, Jewish cultural autonomy was limited. Jewish political organisations were outlawed, with the exception of Betar and Agudas Yisroel whom the government entrusted to lead the entire system of Jewish schools.
