- Scope and content:
- The collection of the Ministry of Finance, Trade and Industry includes a variety of materials on the administrative, economic and financial activities in the period of Georgian independence between 1918 and 1921. It includes orders and regulations on such issues as taxation, industry, customs, banking, local and international trade. Data on the Ministry and on other governmental organisations (reports and minutes, lists of staff members, data on administrative structure) is also included in the collection. The Jewish-related materials of the collection include a report of the Minister of Finance on fines imposed on Jewish organisations, and a report of the Head of the Road's department on the purchasing of private lots of land as part of the construction of the Kutaisi rail station, including a lot belonging to Isaac Eligulashvili (both from 1920).

- The Democratic Republic of Georgia was proclaimed in May 1918 and existed, as an independent state, until the Soviet invasion of Georgia and its Sovietisation in 1921.
