- Scope and content:
- The collection includes photographs of Jewish educational institutions, teachers and pupils. It includes traditional Talmud Torah schools as well as modern courses organised by the Evkombed (on the Evkombed see f. A300).
- Archival history:
- This collection, along with several Jewish-related photographic collections, was originally held by the Historical-Ethnographic Museum of the Jews of Georgia (see Central Archive of Contemporary History, f. 35). After the museum's liquidation in the early 1950s, its photographic materials were transferred to the Central Archive of Audio-Visual Documents. Currently, the original photographs are located at the David Baazov Museum of History of Jews of Georgia, while the CAAVD holds copies of the photographs.
