- The collection contains materials from the musical groups of the philharmonic staff, which included the Tajik-Jewish ensemble: annual reports of concert activity (1942,1944,1945); information about the ensemble's tours in other republics of the USSR: Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and the RSFSR (1944, 1958). For most of 1942, the Tajik-Jewish ensemble operated in Samarkand and its regions. With the arrival of the new leader G Kogan in October 1950, the ensemble began to reconstruct its work and was called the Ensemble of Uzbek Dance and Songs. The foundation also provides information about tours by creative groups and soloists of the RSFSR in Uzbekistan, among them the Jewish singer Shulman, who performed in Tashkent city and the Fergana region (1957).

- On 27 August 1936, the Uzbek State Philharmonic was established in the Department of Arts under the Council of People's Commissars of the Uzbek SSR. From 18 April 1953 it was the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture of the Uzbek SSR. In 1957 it was named after M Kary-Yakubov of the Ministry of the Uzbek SSR. Its function was to promote the best examples of classical and folk music and literature among the population of the Republic.
