- The collection contains a file of evacuated citizens and reports, statistical information, and a summary of the work of the evacuation commission (1941–42): a list of employees of the bureau of evacuation management; reports to the resettlement department of the CPC of the Uzbek SSR and to the regional statistical office for each month for the cities of Tashkent, Fergana, Bukhara, Khorezm, Samarkand, Karakalpakstan and regions; the number of evacuated families (men, women and children) and persons arriving in the Uzbek SSR, including Jews; lists of evacuated citizens from the front line including name, surname, patronymic, sex, year of birth, nationality, origin (city, region, province), employment before evacuation, lodging address and current employment; lists of evacuated children without parents; and telegrams and correspondence about the searching process of evacuated citizens and institutions.

- On 27 June 1941, the Central Committee of the CPSU (b) and the Council of People's Commissars adopted a resolution on "the procedure of exporting and placement of human contingents and valuable property". In accordance with the "Instruction on registration of evacuated population", issued in August 1941, counts were conducted by city and district executive committees. The instruction provided for the compilation of several lists, including summary form No. 1, which summarised numbers of arrivals grouped by region of former residence and by nationality
