Scope and content:: This fonds contain reports made by an informant for the Sipo-SD, in all probability Luis Mercader, one of the leaders of the Spanish Falange in Brussels, attaché to the Spanish consulate and the Casa España in Brussels, and active for the German security services (Sipo-SD) during the Second World War. It’s not clear who was the recipient of these reports, or whether they are originals. Some reports explicitly concern the denunciation of Jews, the gathering of intelligence on ‘Jewish milieus’, etc. – see for example the nos. 10, 19, 24, 47, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 99, 100, 102, 228, 229, 275, 278 and others. Among the reports on – alleged – Freemasons, socialists, communists, resistance fighters, etc. there are undoubtedly also reports relevant to this guide.

Archival history:: The documents were supposedly donated by a functionary of the Staatsveiligheid to Mr. André Uyttebrouck (former archivist of the ULB). They were transferred by Uyttebrouck to the CEGESOMA in 2000-2001.
