Scope and content:
This fonds contains documents related to the Stern family, including identity cards, diplomas, registration certificates for the Registre du Commerce, a copy of a naturalisation act, as well as correspondence.
Archival history:
The fonds was donated by Myriam Stern, the daughter of Nathan Stern, and by his nephew Marius Craczyk in 2008.
Administrative/biographical history:
Jakob Eliezer Sztern (1892-1943) and Ida Erlich (1896-1962) married in 1913. They migrated to Belgium in 1919 and had three children: Liba (1921-1943), Nathan (alias Billy) (1923-2007) and Willy (1927-1944). Jakob Eliezer Sztern is the brother of painter Arno Stern.
