Scope and content:
The collection contains documents of the Ministry of Culture of the RSFSR, the regional department responsible for school activities. These include minutes of teachers' meetings and the State Examination Commission; plans and reports on educational work; lists of employees of schools with full personal data; lists of participants in the Great Patriotic War (1970s-1980s); and photos of former school director, Honoured Worker of Culture of the RSFSR V.N. Yurgenson (May 1989) and the members of the jury of the All-Russian Piano Competition, held in Omsk in spring 1990: M.M. Berlyanchik, S.P. Gindis and M.A. Shaviner.

Materials were added to the archive as part of the standard local process.
Administrative/biographical history:
Omsk School of Music was founded on 1 January 1920 and was administered by the Department of Education. On 1 March 1936 the school was placed under the jurisdiction of the Omsk oblast’s Department of Arts Affairs. From 1953 it was allocated to the Omsk regional department of culture of the Omsk Oblast Executive Committee and the Ministry of Culture of the RSFSR. In 1963 the college was named after V.Y. Shebalin.
