Scope and content:: This collection includes circulars, decisions and orders of the Siberian Board of Education, orders of Council of People's Commissars [SNK], instructions, plans of the Siberian Board of Education, programs, protocols of provincial revolutionary committee [gubrevkom], staff schedules, lists of conscripts, lists of applications of employees, orders of the provincial department of education and reports.

It also contains protocols of the subdivision of national minorities of Omsk provincial department of education on the appointment and recall of teachers and others in the Jewish school, the Jewish Club and superintendence of the Jewish library in 1920, an extract from the minutes for places on courses of preschool education of the Jewish section, on sending delegates to the congress of Jewish educators and on the reorganisation of the Jewish section of the subdivision of the national minorities.

There are also personal files of more than 30 Jews who were employed by the provincial department of education. The files include a formulary list of the service with detailed personal data, origin, upbringing and education, participation in hostilities, criminal record, leave, retirement and marital status.

Archival history:: Materials were added to the archive as part of the standard local process.

Administrative/biographical history:: The Provincial Department of Education [GubONO] was established in November 1919. In 1925, in connection with the regionalisation of Siberia, the functions of the Omsk provincial Board of Education passed to the Omsk district executive committee.
