Scope and content:: This collection includes circulars, orders and decrees of Council of People's Commissars [Sovnarkom], correspondence with and other documents relating to credit institutions of Omsk, the city enterprises, reviews of financial activity in Siberia regarding taxes, financial statements and information about individuals who suffered losses in the civil war. There are also 1446 personal files of employees of Omgubfinotdel. Among these files there are personal files of Jewish employees. Such files include a single individual questionnaire of the employee, data on place of birth, class and origin, party allegiance, religion, residence before the revolution, the attitude to the October revolution, participation in the armed fight against the Red army, parents’ property, education, position, marital status, family members abroad, participation in the Civil war, participation in the professional union, certificates, applications for leave, application for the issuance of advances, extracts from orders, memos, lists of securities and others.

Archival history:: Materials were added to the archive as part of the standard local process.

Administrative/biographical history:: In November 1919 the administration of financial business was assigned to the Omsk Provincial Executive Committee of Soviets of Workers, Peasants 'and Soldiers' Deputies [gubispolkom]. The management of the executive committee was entrusted to the financial department.
