Scope and content:
This collection contains lists of hospital workers, participants of the Great Patriotic War, lists of distinguished physicians and persons awarded the sign of "Excellent Health” and lists of employees with state and departmental awards. It also includes photographs of the candidates of medical science, Head of Science of children's section S.Z. Mostyansky, clinical intern N.D. Chulovskaya, candidate of medical science R.F. Kolushinskaya and graduate student S.S. Atler.
Archival history:
Materials were added to the archive as part of the standard local process.
Administrative/biographical history:
The department of eye diseases was established at the military hospital in 1922. In 1925 it became a separate establishment as the Clinic of Ophthalmology at the Omsk Medical Institute and in 1941 it became the Omsk City Clinical Eye Hospital, under direction of the city health department [gorzdravotdel]. It was reopened as the Open Clinical Eye Hospital in July 1959. In 1960 it was renamed as the City Eye hospital number 17. In September 1974 the City Eye Hospital № 17 dispensary and regional trachomatous hospitals merged into one institution, the Regional Eye Hospital, under the direction of the regional health department [oblzdravotdel]. In 1977 it was renamed as the Omsk Regional Ophthalmologic Hospital.
