This collection includes a list of names of prisoners at Omsk prison and other prisons (1904, 1908, 1909), documents pertaining to secret inquiries and correspondences about the arrests and detention of political affairs, containing information about the Jewish participants in the revolutionary movement in the early 20th century.

This includes: Correspondence about Moisey Itskovich Davidovich, charged under Criminal Law in 1903 (during his arrest, leaflets of the Omsk Committee of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party were found), 1907; an enquiry about the peasant Yakov Budnik also charged under Criminal Law, 1915; an inquiry in the case of peasant L Bindeman, accused of a crime according to Criminal Law (1915-1916).

Furthermore, the collection includes correspondence (intra- and inter-ministerial) and inquiries containing requests, notifications, orders, reports, certificates, telegrams, letters, records of interrogations, searches, information about the investigation, decisions about arrests and releases from custody, information about the arrested persons.

Materials were added to the archive as part of the standard local process.
Administrative/biographical history:
Omsk district court and the public prosecutor at the Omsk district court were established in 1899 and abolished by the Soviets in December 1917, restored in June 1918 by the Whites and finally abolished in November 1919 after the defeat of Kolchak's troops.
