Although this organisation had a decidedly German nationalist bias and was affiliated with National Socialist movements, two items are of note for local Jewish history: a folder of materials on Jews in Germany (although not Romania) written from an antisemitic perspective and a list of grave sites of fallen World War I soldiers recording the number of graves per site, location and in many instances the ethnicity of the soldiers. Several Jews are among the soldiers, making the list a valuable resource for researchers interested in the history of Jewish participation in World War I. For details on these items, see the entry for this collection at http://jbat.lbi.org/, subfield ‘contains’, and click on any title.
