Scope and content:
The collection consists primarily of certificates of completion and notices of incompletion of courses of study. The school reflected the multi-ethnic character of Cernăuți, and accordingly many Jewish students attended. A large number of diploma stubs are present, notable for containing photographs of students: name, birth date, and birth place of the student are listed, as well as the date of graduation, with a photograph appearing on the reverse.
Archival history:
The collection was maintained by its creator and presumably "evacuated" from Chernivtsi during late World War II. It was acquired by the National Archives from its storage location (unknown, probably a school depository) after the war.
