Scope and content:: The fonds contains documents of the burial society (chevra kadisha): statutes (1937-1938), meeting minutes, cash books (up to 1941), membership list, financial files, a graves register (up to 1942) and property return forms (1939-1941).

Archival history:: The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.

Administrative/biographical history:: Jewish settlement in Nové Strašecí is documented from the mid-17th century. A Jewish religious community probably existed there from the latter half of the 17th century. The community came to an end in 1937 and its area was allocated to the the Jewish Religious Community of Kladno.
