Scope and content:: The fonds contains a ledger (pinkas), a circumcision register, a register of synagogue seats, books/registers of a Jewish school, fragmentary files and the general ledger of the synagogue association of the associated community of Dobrovítov.

Archival history:: The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.

Administrative/biographical history:: Jewish settlement in Golčův Jeníkov is documented from the mid-17th century. A religious community existed there from at least the 18th century. A yeshivah and a large number of Jewish associations were active there. The community was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
