Administrative/biographical history:: Dr. Samuel Pollak (1842–1906) was a rabbi in Šafov between 1873 and 1881, later moving to Třebíč where he took over the rabbinate from his father Joachim Pollak (1798–1879). He was active in Třebíč from 1881 until his death.
