Scope and content:: The fonds contains a memorial book of the Jewish Religious Community of Uhlířské Janovice, a chronicle of the local Jewish school, a register of the property and members of the Jewish community, and charitable foundation files.

Archival history:: The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.

Administrative/biographical history:: Jewish settlement in Uhlířské Janovice is documented from the 17th century. It became a Jewish religious community from the first half of the 18th century at the latest. The community was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
