Scope and content:: The fonds contains meeting minutes, personnel files, registry files, correspondence, construction-related documents, financial records, registers of synagogue seats, fragmentary files of a Jewish school and fragmentary files of the burial society.

Archival history:: The records were incorporated into the archives of the Jewish Museum in Prague during the Second World War as part of shipments of material from Jewish religious communities that had been disbanded.

Administrative/biographical history:: Jewish settlement in Bzenec was established before 1580. A Jewish religious community is documented there in the latter half of the 16th century. It was disbanded by the Nazis during the Second World War and did not subsequently resume its activities.
