Scope and content:: The fonds includes minutes of meetings, fragments of community files, financial files, a synagogue seats register and a book of Hazkarot. Most of the preserved documents come from the end of the 19th and from the beginning of the 20th century; the synagogue seats register only includes records from the first half of the 19th century. The book of Hazkarot was kept to 1940 (only one commemorative record).

Archival history:: The documents were taken to the Jewish Museum as part of the wartime shipment of artefacts and documents from Jewish Religious Communities destroyed during WWII.

Administrative/biographical history:: The Jewish settlement in Bechyně is documented from the 16th century. The Jewish Community was founded in the 17th century and destroyed during WWII.
